I brought this Marin Palisades Trail frame - with some parts - on eBay. I wanted to build up a new used mountain bike for my nine year old son, who will most likely out grow his Specialized Hot Rock. It was the 10th whole bike or frame that I’ve purchased off eBay. The frame is a 2001 model in polished aluminum with black lettering. It is made with 7005 aluminum and is 11.5” from the center of the bottom bracket to the top of the top tube. The total weight is about 28 pounds.
The bike is set up as a 1×8 with a single speed specific middle ring (104×34T) by Salsa and a BBG bash guard that replaced by big ring.
